On Thursday, October 3, 2024, a main break was reported in the area of East Pine Street in Feasterville-Trevose. When BCWSA crews arrived on the scene, they were able to isolate the break to begin repairs. During repairs, a loss of positive water pressure was experienced and BCWSA issued a boil water advisory for customers on East Pine Street between Shortleaf Street and Philadelphia Avenue. A copy of the advisory can be found here.
This is only in effect for customers on East Pine Street between Shortleaf Street and Philadelphia Avenue. Customers outside of this area may experience discolored water but are not under a boil water advisory.
Once repairs are complete, bacteria tests will be conducted to verify that no bacteria are present. This testing may take 48 – 72 hours. Once results indicate there are no bacteria present, BCWSA will lift the boil water advisory and customers will be notified. BCWSA apologizes for any inconvenience its customers experience.
