Water Main Work Includes Boil Water Advisory – Langhorne Yardley Road

Updated: September 4, 2024

BCWSA will be working on the water main on Langhorne Yardley Road in the area of Woodbourne Road.  The work being performed will require residents in the area to be without water, so it will be performed overnight to lessen the impact on customers in the area.  It will be performed in two phases over the next three days.

Phase 1 – Langhorne Yardley Road between Woodbourne Road and Briggs Road

Beginning at 10pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, water service will be shut-off on Langhorne Yardley Road between Woodbourne Road and Briggs Road.  During this time, customers in this area will be without water.  Water service is expected to be restored by 3am on Thursday, September 5, 2024.  At that time, customers in this area will be under a boil water advisory.  The boil water advisory will not be lifted until bacteria samples collected show that there are no bacteria present in the water.  This is not expected to occur until Monday morning.  Please see the advisory here.

Phase 2 – Langhorne Yardley Road between Bridgetown Pike and Woodbourne Road

Beginning at 10pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024, water service will be shut-off on Langhorne Yardley Road between Bridgetown Pike and Woodbourne Road.  During this time, customers in this area will be without water.  Water service is expected to be restored by 3am on Friday, September 6, 2024.  At that time, customers in this area will be under a boil water advisory.  The boil water advisory will not be lifted until bacteria samples collected show that there are no bacteria present in the water.  This is not expected to occur until Monday morning.
